W.K. Kellogg Foundation
Accion is proud to partner with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to help families across the U.S. build long-term economic stability.
In 2015, the Kellogg Foundation provided lead funding for a first-of-its kind, multi-year study on the impact of mission-based lending on small business owners. Results from the study, which will be released in early 2018, will produce actionable knowledge to help Accion and fellow mission-based lenders better meet the needs of entrepreneurs and their families. Read the initial findings report and sign up for updates here.
Additional funding awarded by the Kellogg Foundation in 2017 will enable Accion to translate insights gained from the study into enhancements in financial coaching and online financial management tools to support small business owners’ financial health.
At the local level, the Kellogg Foundation provided a Program Related Investment (PRI) and grant in 2015 to support Accion’s efforts to reach historically underserved small business owners in New Mexico, including low-income, Native American entrepreneurs residing on tribal lands, with access to small business support and capital.
