JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary mission of the Associate is to reliably maintain the day to day duties of client repayments. The functional areas impacted by the Associates work include client repayment communications, bank report reconciliation, client repayment strategies, and effective follow through on tasks given by Manager.

 

The Associate reports to the Senior Loan Service Unit Manager and will learn how to work a loan aging pipeline in a growing organization.

 

OUTCOMES

Under the direction of the Senior Loan Service Unit Manager in Collaboration with the Loan Service

Supervisor the Associate will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Willingness to handle a high volume of daily phone calls in a professional manner and up to FDCPA standards;
  • Ensure the accuracy of repayment information to minimize errors that affect client repayment.
  • Ability to acknowledge errors, learn from errors, and be accountable to self-improvement;
  • Ability to negotiate payment solutions with delinquent clients and resolve conflicts in order to find solutions;
  • Handle phone calls, payment adjustments, reallocations, and payment arrangements to keep the daily delinquency below 4.0%
  • Ability to handle administrative work in an organized and structured manner including returned mail, late notice mailing, client account changes, and other department specific document requirements;
  • Work cooperatively with Payment Support team and manager in a fast paced, goal oriented, collections department;
  • Suggest course of action to pursue with delinquent accounts;
  • Must communicate and follow up effectively with the department colleagues regarding client accounts on a timely basis;
  • Be able to visit the post office periodically and as necessary to mailing documentation that require immediate attention.

Mission of the Loan Consultant

The Loan Consultant is responsible for building our brand and establishing our presence as the microlender in New England.  This position’s responsibilities include the development, cultivation and growth of business lending in New England.  The Loan Consultant is focused on outreach to partners (banking institutions, government organizations and community partners) to originate quality loan applications.  The Loan Consultant is directly responsible for monthly business development and sales goals.  The Loan Consultant will report to the Lending Team Leader.

 

Outcomes

  • Deliver on monthly sales goals by lending $55,000 to 5 business owners;
  • Deliver on monthly new loan conversion at a threshold of 20% or higher;
  • Work to build a portfolio so that 40% of monthly disbursements are refinance applications;
  • Deliver on generating and converting 25 leads a month from clients;
  • Deliver 5 sales presentations a month in coordination with the outreach strategy;
  • Develop new and cultivate existing referral relationships that generate high levels of customer satisfaction of 80% or greater as measured by the Net Promoter Score (NPS);

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Three years’ experience working in small business; prior business experience/sales skills preferred;
  • Bilingual -English and Spanish preferred;
  • Self-Motivator/Self-Starter can build a new region of growth for the organization;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders/partner relationships;
  • Ability to plan and conduct business workshops on a variety of business-related topics (financial management, marketing, managing cash flow, business credit, business plan development and implementation, etc.);
  • Creative thinker and problem solver;
  • Good presentation and math skills; knowledge of Word and Excel.

MISSION OF THE PAYMENT SUPPORT VOLUNTEER

The mission of the PT – Payment Support Volunteer is to assist the Payment Support Department of Accion with the completion of projects, and other related assignments as deemed necessary based on department needs and operations demands.  The Payment Support Volunteer will work directly under the supervision of the Client Risk & Recovery Manager following directions and supporting the work of other members in the department as needed.

 

OUTCOMES

To provide assistance as needed for the effectiveness and efficiency of the Payment Support Department responsible to complete various ad-hoc assignments within the required time-frame as needed.
