After being arrested in 2011, I thought I had hit rock bottom. I realized I needed to turn my life around. Immediately following my release, I went to work on Rhyme Antics, a game that helps players expand their vocabulary through rhyming competitions.
I had never created a game before, so I enrolled in a program at Defy Ventures, an organization that supports the formerly incarcerated through entrepreneurship training. There I was introduced to Accion. With the loan I received from Accion, I was finally able to expand my inventory and sell my game online.
Now six years later, with more than 500 copies sold, Rhyme Antics provides me with a steady income. I plan to continue inspiring children and adults to build their vocabularies and spark their love of reading and rapping.
